When I first discovered the wonderful world of reading story
books, I was amazed at how captivated I was just reading a few hundred words,
or so, written by people who call themselves “writers.” As a child, I imagined
the magical stories I read were created by people who were specially gifted,
for surely no ordinary person could have such an amazing imagination.
My world changed when I first started reading the Ladybird
classics. My world changed again when I discovered Enid Blyton. When I got a
little older, I fell in love with the Sweet Valley series (I am not ashamed to
admit this. I love you Francine Pascal!).
Reading a medley of inspiring, sad, funny, and sometimes
scary, books inspired me to start writing in a journal with hopes that one day
I will progress into writing a book. Kind of like homework before the big test.
Unfortunately, writing in my journal always lasted a few months. I used the
word “always” because this has been a reoccurring habit for years. As I got
older, I started blogging. As expected,
I never could update my blog on a regular basis. Work, friends and life got in
the way and I used the excuse of being too busy to blog.
Now that my time is no longer filled with partying and going
out (not that much anyway), I have more time to read, write and blog. Also,
with a life changing event taking place in less than a month (I’m getting
married!), it’s about time I start documenting all the silly little things that
matter to me in a fresh new blog. My old blog will remain as it is, but I will
not be updating it any longer.
If you are reading this blog, I hope you find it amusing enough
to stay and read more, or can somehow relate to what I write. If you think it
silly, well, too bad for you =P
There is no specific theme for this blog. I will blog about
anything that catches my attention. And yes, this does mean the occasional
ranting post, reviews on books, movies, food,
places and interviews with (if I’m lucky enough) interesting personalities.
Enjoy reading!
